This world heritage site is one of the most impressive of Sri Lanka’s Cave Temples and also have the largest colossal figure of the Buddha carved out of rock and spanning over 14 meters. Next, you would leave Dambulla for Kandy, a world heritage site and also the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings. Explore the Kandy lake dating 1798 built by the last Sinhala king- Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe, the Kandy town, the bazaar, the ar ts & crafts centre, the lapidary and the Temple of the Tooth Relic before wrapping up the day with a cultural show.
