  • Day 1 : Johannesburg

    You will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel in Johannesburg. Spend the remainder of the day at leisure to relax or explore the city. This evening, there will be a tour briefing at reception and you’ll have an opportunity to meet your fellow travellers. 

  • Day 2 : Johannesburg - Mpumalanga

    Head north to Pretoria this morning for a short tour, then continue to the Mpumalanga Province, known as ‘Paradise Country’. Enter the lush sub-tropical region of the Lowveld, travelling via the historic towns of Dullstroom and Lydenburg, then traverse the picturesque Long Tom Pass. Arrive at the farming town of Hazyview in the late afternoon.

  • Day 3 : Mpumalanga

    Drive along the spectacular Panorama Route, offering breathtaking views of the Blyde River Canyon, Bourke’s Luck Potholes and the vantage point known as God’s Window. Arrive back in Hazyview in the late afternoon. This evening, consider booking an optional Shangaan Cultural Dinner experience.

  • Day 4 : Mpumalanga - Kruger National Park

    After an early-morning coffee, embark on an open-top game safari in Kruger National Park, in the company of expert ranger, with a pre-packed breakfast. Seek out the Big Five and other game, as well as prolific birdlife. The safari includes a visit to the Anti-Poaching Dog Unit. Afternoon at leisure to relax or to join another game drive (at own expense).

  • Day 5 : Mpumalanga - eSwatini (Swaziland)

    Travel to eSwatini (Swaziland) this morning and enjoy an interactive cultural experience, inclusive of lunch, allowing you to meet some local people and learn about their traditions. Continue via Mbabane to the beautiful Ezulwini Valley and then have a sumptuous dinner at your hotel.

  • Day 6 : eSwatini (Swaziland) - Zululand

    Continue south through eSwatini (Swaziland) before re-entering South Africa and travelling into Zululand, passing traditional round huts and endless vistas. This afternoon you’ll have the option of joining an afternoon safari in the Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Game Reserve (at own expense), home to a diverse range of big game and known for its conservation of black and white rhinos.

  • Day 7 : Zululand - Durban (Umhlanga)

    Take a cruise on Lake St Lucia this morning,then depart for Durban. Travel past traditional Zulu Kraals, eucalyptus plantations and sugar cane fields. Arrive in Durban in the early afternoon and spend an afternoon at leisure to enjoy the golden beaches of the Indian Ocean.

  • Day 8 : Durban (Umhlanga) - Knysna

    After breakfast, board your flight to Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) from the Durban (Umhlanga) airport. Once everyone has arrived, we head westwards along the Garden Route.  This route runs along the Indian Ocean with mountains and forests on the inland side. You’ll arrive at your hotel in Knysna, known as the oyster box of South Africa. Spend the night in Knysna.

  • Day 9 : Knysna - Tsitsikamma - Knysna

    Start your day with breakfast and explore Tsitsikamma National Park & Storms River Mouth, and the Knysna Forests. Learn about the history of woodcutters, the extinction of elephants, and the gold discovery. Our forest journey begins at Dalene Matthee Big Tree Memorial, named after the famous author, Matthee. A massive Yellowwood tree, over 880 years old, stands as a tribute. Enjoy a tasty lunch featuring local cuisine and treats. The day concludes in Knysna with dinner at Drydock Restaurant, known for its glorious aroma and flavourful dishes using th e finest local ingredients and fresh herbs from the region.

    Today, journey through the Outeniqua Pass to Oudtshoorn, recognized as the “ostrich capital” and a key player in the global ostrich farming scene. Enroute make a stop at ‘Dolphin Point, a remarkable viewpoint in Wilderness. In Oudtshoorn, dive into the world of ostriches with a fun and interactive tour at an Ostrich Farm, followed by light lunch featuring local delights like Ostrich Steak. Afterward, explore the mesmerizing limestone caverns of the Cango Caves, one of the world’s great natural wonders, sculpted by nature through t he ages.     Today you’ll be at leisure to explore Cape Town. Consider joining a sightseeing tour and taking a cable car to the summit of Table Mountain (at own expense). Alternatively, take an optional Marine Big Five Safari where you may see great white sharks, whales, Cape fur seals and a variety of seabirds.

  • Day 13 : Cape Town

    Enjoy a full-day tour of the Cape Peninsula today, driving through Sea Point, the seaside village of Hout Bay and on to Cape Point. Return to Cape Town via Simon’s Town, where you’ll see the charming penguin colony at Boulders Beach, and Fish Hoek fishing village.
