Rwanda Extension - Volcanoes National Park

Start your day with a City Tour of Kigali including a visit to the Genocide Memorial Centre for an insightful and moving experience on Rwanda’s history and recovery. Afterward enjoy lunch at a local restaurant (payable directly) while reviewing your safari itinerary with your guide.Following lunch drive for 2.5 hours to Volcanoes National Park for checkin at your lodge.
Dinner and overnight at Virunga Inn Resort & Spa. 

After an early breakfast your guide will take you to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla tracking, where you’ll meet your group and porter. The trek can last from 30 minutes to 4 hours depending on the family’s location. Once with the gorillas enjoy a unique, awe-inspiring hour observing them in their natural habitat.Return to the lodge for lunch with the rest of the afternoon at leisure.
Dinner and overnight at the lodge. 

After breakfast head to the park for a briefing on golden monkey tracking which takes around 4 hours. You’ll spend an hour with the monkeys before returning to the lodge for lunch, check out and transfer to Kigali. Depending on your schedule either check in at your hotel or head to Kigali International Airport.
