Oman Highlights

Upon arrival at Muscat International Airport, transfer to your hotel to relax and settle in. 

Begin your day with a visit to the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, a marvel of Islamic architecture (dress code applies). Continue to the stunning Royal Opera House and then explore the Bait Al Baranda Museum. Stroll along the Muttrah Corniche and discover the vibrant Muttrah Souk, the oldest market in Oman. Stop for photos at Al Alam Palace, flanked by the historic Portuguese forts of Al Mirani and Al Jalali.In the afternoon, enjoy a relaxing sunset cruise along Muscat's picturesque coastline.

Leave Muscat to explore Oman’s natural beauty. Visit Wadi Dayqah, home to one of the country’s largest freshwater reservoirs and stroll along the dam. Continue to Wadi Tiwi known for its emerald pools and lush plantations. Drive along the coast to Sur and visit a traditional dhow factory and open-air museum. In the evening, take a walk-through Al Aygah village, renowned for its unique wooden doors and consider visiting the nearby turtle beach (season-dependent).

Start the day with a visit to Wadi Bani Khalid one of Oman’s most picturesque wadis, perfect for a swim or a walk. Journey into the Wahiba Sands a stunning desert landscape. Stop at a local Bedouin home to enjoy a traditional Omani lunch and learn about life in the desert. In the afternoon, arrive at your desert camp and experience the unique beauty of the dunes.

After breakfast in the desert visit Ibra or Sinaw for their vibrant markets. Explore the old, abandoned districts nearby and learn about the region’s history. Stop to see the ancient beehive tombs near Izki, a fascinating archaeological site. Visit Birkat Al Mauz a charming village surrounded by banana and date plantations, before heading to Nizwa.

Start your day at Nizwa Fort and its bustling souk known for silver jewellery and handmade khanjars (daggers). Continue to Bahla Fort a UNESCO World Heritage Site and explore the nearby village. Visit Jabreen Castle renowned for its intricate architecture and historical significance. On your way back to Muscat stop at the Amouage factory to learn about the creation of one of the world’s finest perfumes.

Begin your final day with a visit to Seeb’s bustling fish market where fishermen display their fresh catch. Stop at a camel breeding farm in Barka before continuing to Nakhl. Explore Nakhl Fort, built on a rocky outcrop and stroll through the old village with its mud houses and gardens. Visit the hot springs at Ain Thowarah and enjoy a scenic walk among the palm trees. Return to Muscat for your departure flight or continue your stay.
