You will be met at the airport and transferred to the Mexico City hotel. 

Today you’ll see the highlights of Mexico City. Begin at Constitution Square, see the impressive National Palace, then continue to the ruins of Templo Mayor, centrepiece of the ancient Aztec capital. Have lunch in the characterful Coyoacán neighbourhood and visit the Frida Kahlo Museum.

Drive northwest to Querétaro this morning, a journey of around 1 hour 45 minutes. Explore this historically significant city then continue to San Miguel de Allende, known for its impressive colonial architecture and a popular residence for artists and intellectuals. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Visit the Sanctuary of Atotonilco, a UNESCO-listed church complex withan intricately adorned chapelthat’s considered a masterpiece of Mexican colonial religious art. Continue to the beautiful colonial city of Guanajuato; here you’ll visit the Pipila monument, Juarez Theater, the Basilica and explore the attractive narrow and underground streets. Check in to the hotel.

Head west to Guadalajara, a journey of about 3 hours 30 minutes. Mexico’s second-largest city is the birthplace of iconic Mexican heritage including mariachi music, sombrero hats and tequila. Tour the Tlaquepaque district and sights in the city centre including Government Palace, the Cathedral and a panoramic view of the Hospicio Cabañas. Overnight at the Guadalajara.

Explore the Tequila region today, including a distillery visit to learn about the production of this legendary Mexican drink made from the agave plant. This afternoon, transfer to the hotel, with themed barrel-suites located in fields of agave. The surrounding landscape of agave crops is designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
