Continuing our exploration, we head to northern Jordan to visit Ajloun, one of the most significant ecological and historical sites in the Middle East. Ajloun Castle (Qal’at Ar-Rabad) stands as a fine example of Islamic architecture, constructed by Saladin’s general in 1184 AD to control the iron mines of Ajloun and counter the progress of the Crusaders. It dominates the three main routes leading to the Jordan Valley and safeguards communication routes between Jordan and Syria. Conclude the day with an overnight stay in Amman.

Pella offers a glimpse into a Chalcolithic settlement dating back to the 4th millennium BC, with remnants of Byzantine churches, houses, and a medieval mosque. Continuing our excursion, we proceed to Um Qais, formerly known as Gadara, renowned for the famous miracle of the Gadarene swine. This cultural hub was once home to classical poets and philosophers. Explore Um Qais, strolling along its colonnaded street, vaulted terrace, and the ruins of two theatres. Return to Amman for an overnight stay.

Have breakfast before heading out for Petra via the Kings Highway, making captivating stops along the way. Explore Madaba, renowned for its famous 6th-century Mosaic map of Jerusalem & Holy Land, as well as its stunning Byzantine mosaics and visit St. George’s church. Then, venture to Mount Nebo, known as Moses Mountain, offering panoramic views of the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, West Bank, and Jerusalem, believed to be the alleged site of Moses' tomb. Continuing our journey, visit Um Ar Rassas, mentioned in both the old and new testaments, fo rtified by the Romans, and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
