A vast embankment of volcanic rock, which rises from the plains and offers unique views, Lion Rock is so-called because it used to be a favourite lion haunt, including the famous man-eating lions of Tsavo. Today, the rock is used exclusively by

the Lodge as a breakfast spot. Setting off early from the lodge, guests can enjoy a gentle game drive en route to the rock, arriving to find that a full English breakfast has been laid out for them on its summit.
